Vice Principal's Message

I’m excited to introduce myself as the vice principal at Northlake Elementary.  I’m proud to be a part of the great work that in happening in Tooele education now.  I am a native to Tooele.  As a student in Tooele County School District I attended Harris Elementary, Tooele Junior High, and Tooele High School.

After graduating I attended BYU-Idaho, obtaining an Associate of Science and a Specialized Associate in Preschool Education.  I obtained my Elementary Education Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in 2005.  After this, I enjoyed my time as an elementary teacher in 2nd and 3rd grades.  I was lucky to experience the culture of East Elementary, Settlement Canyon Elementary, and Copper Canyon Elementary during my time as a teacher.  I learned a great deal at each of these schools.

My love for education inspired me to pursue my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I received this degree in 2017.  I began my administrative career at Northlake Elementary and Sterling Elementary in 2017 and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

I believe that education is where problems of the future are solved.  Our children matter because they will be tomorrow’s leaders.  It is important for all stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and parents, to see the potential of our students and help them reach it.  We’re all born to make a difference.  My hope is that I can make a difference by helping the students at Northlake Elementary make a difference in the world today, tomorrow, and evermore.
